Nicolás is biochemist graduated from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) in Argentina. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in the Pharmacological Research Institute (ININFA) under the mentorship of Dr Carlos Davio. His doctoral project is based on the study of intrinsic and extrinsic molecular mechanisms induced on pancreatic tumoral cells to avoid the effect of chemotherapy and produce a more aggressive phenotype. He worked with an interdisciplinary approach based on pharmacology and signalling allowing him to participate in different projects of neurobiology, parasitology, fertilization, and oncology
